If you are a child care worker, child care employer, or if you just want to learn more: join one of the upcoming information sessions about the Best Starts Child Care Wage Boost Pilot!
Child care facilities in King County will be able to start applying February 10 to be a part of the pilot. Workers at selected child care facilities will receive quarterly payments through the pilot (up to $1,040 for part-time workers and up to $2,080 for full-time workers) to increase their income.
Best Starts and our partner, the Imagine Institute, will be hosting two info sessions next week so workers, employers, and other people interested in the program can learn more about the pilot and the process.
Register for one of the two upcoming info-sessions:
When: Jan 27th 11 am to 12 pm
When: Jan 28th 2 to 3 pm
The info sessions will have Somali and Spanish translation live.
There will also be additional info-sessions in February geared toward Child Care Facilities to support with the application process. Look for updates here and on the Pilot website!

Hi Margaret! Yes, this info session is open to people who don’t have STARS number. We are trying to update the form so it doesn’t show as “required.” In the meantime you can enter “0” into that space to complete the form.
